Multan — In a significant welfare initiative, President of Multan Press Club, Shakeel Anjum, has announced free modern IT courses for Press Club members and their children. The announcement follows the signing of an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Multan Press Club and Jamaat-e-Islami District Multan.
Under this agreement, more than six advanced IT courses — which usually cost thousands of rupees in the market — will now be offered completely free of charge to Press Club members and their children, thanks to the collaboration of Jamaat-e-Islami and Al-Khidmat Foundation.

The MoU was exchanged between Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Multan, Sohaib Ammar Siddiqui, and President Multan Press Club, Shakeel Anjum. Both leaders described this partnership as a new direction in the journey of “knowledge, training, and welfare.”
Speaking on the occasion, President Shakeel Anjum said, “Our aim is to strengthen the journalist community and their families not only professionally but also by keeping them aligned with the demands of the modern era. Providing free IT education will open new employment opportunities for journalists’ children. We are grateful to Jamaat-e-Islami and Al-Khidmat Foundation for their continuous efforts toward social betterment.”
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Multan, Sohaib Ammar Siddiqui, stated, “Journalism is the consciousness of society, and we want to strengthen that consciousness through knowledge, training, and moral values. Jamaat-e-Islami has always supported initiatives that contribute to public welfare and national development.”
Present at the event were General Secretary Multan Press Club Nisar Awan, Senior Vice President Muhammad Khalid Chaudhry, Deputy Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Multan Yahya Abdullah, Secretary Information Jamaat-e-Islami South Punjab Rao Ijaz, Malik Mehboob, General Secretary Multan Union of Journalists Qamar Jahan, Zafar-ul-Islam, Shakeel Chaudhry, Khawaja Ashraf Siddiqui, and others.

Discussions were also held regarding the installation of a water filtration plant at the Multan Press Club in the near future to ensure access to clean drinking water for members and media workers. Additionally, Al-Khidmat Foundation Diagnostic Center announced that it will soon introduce special discounted health packages for Press Club members.
This initiative stands as a symbol of welfare for the journalist community and an inspiring example of cooperation between media and welfare organizations.
