A 7-Day “Digital Skills Workshop” Organized for Journalists and Their Families

The Multan Press Club, in collaboration with the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, organized a seven-day Digital Skills Workshop aimed at equipping journalists and their family members with modern and practical knowledge.

During the workshop, participants received training on contemporary and valuable topics including e-commerce, cybersecurity, fact-checking, artificial intelligence tools, and online earning.

Lectures on the practical aspects of e-commerce were delivered by Mr. Waqas Saeed (IT Head, Pakistan Markazi Muslim League), Mr. Usama Farooq (IT Training Incharge, Pakistan Markazi Muslim League Multan), and Mr. Salman Siddiqui (CEO, Digital Hub). Participants were informed about how they could connect with the global market from home through digital platforms and earn a respectable livelihood.

At the closing ceremony, certificates were distributed among the attendees.

Addressing the gathering, Shakeel Anjum remarked that organizing such a workshop is commendable, as equipping journalists with advanced skills is the need of the hour. He expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League and its team for designing various courses for journalists.

Tabish Qayyum stated that journalism is a vital pillar of society, and the more skilled our journalists are, the more effectively they can contribute to the country’s development. He emphasized that the party is conducting courses across the nation to empower journalists with digital skills and to prepare youth on modern foundations so they can earn a dignified livelihood.

Imran Liaqat Bhatti highlighted in his address that they are taking every possible measure to make the youth self-reliant, and this workshop is an expression of that commitment.

Hafiz Abu Al-Hasan shared that the purpose of the workshop was to impart practical knowledge to journalists, which, by the grace of God, was successfully achieved. He added that an IT center has been established in Multan to teach digital skills to young people in a modern way, enabling them to overcome their challenges.

Farhan Anjum Mughlani stated that learning skills such as online earning and e-commerce has become indispensable for today’s journalists.

The distinguished guests appreciated the participants’ keen interest and active participation and pledged to continue such training programs regularly so that journalists can leverage modern technology and play an effective role in national progress.
