Multan Press Club holds annual elections — Shakeel Anjum elected President for the 15th time

The annual elections of Multan Press Club for 2025/26 have been completed, with Shakil Anjum elected as President for the 15th time. The positions of General Secretary, Nisar Awan, Finance Secretary, Farhan Malghani, Joint Secretary, Nauman Babar, and Qalb Hassan were uncontested and selected without opposition.

The polling process was conducted under the supervision of Election Commissioner Zafar Aheer, along with members Jameed Rizwani, Fazil Seho, and Taseer Subhani. In the election, Khalid Chaudhry received 339 votes to become Senior Vice President, while Sharif Joiya secured 336 votes to be elected as Vice President. Farqan Bhatti received 137 votes.

In the Executive Committee, the following 14 members were successfully elected: Nadeem Haider with 345 votes, Mehboob Malik with 324 votes, Mazhar Javed Sial with 311 votes, Bilal Niazi with 309 votes, Mumtaz Khan Niazi with 307 votes, Ijaz Tareen with 303 votes, Salman Qureshi with 302 votes, Rafiq Qureshi with 275 votes, Izhaar Abbasi with 267 votes, Aneela Ashraf with 263 votes, Tariq Ismail with 258 votes, Ayaz Ali Sheikh with 257 votes, Khalid Mehmood Sheikh with 200 votes, and Junaid Malik with 196 votes.

It is noteworthy that Shakil Anjum was elected as President for the 15th time, while Khalid Chaudhry was elected as Senior Vice President for the fifth consecutive time.
