Shaheer Ahmad, mashaAllah, is around sixteen or seventeen years old.
Alhamdulillah, he is a Hafiz-e-Quran and has a mature personality as well.
We—father and son—were thinking of starting work on our own websites when suddenly, the thought crossed my mind: why not create a website for our second home—Multan Press Club?
I searched for a domain, found one, bought it, and got unlimited hosting too. Instead of going for a free theme, I thought, why not purchase a top-rated theme builder used worldwide?
So, I bought the entire theme builder and began testing out different themes.
Meanwhile, I had a meeting with President of the Press Club, Shakeel Anjum Bhai, who had recently been elected with a strong position. I said to him in Saraiki:
“بھائی جان تہاکوں ہک گال کرنی اے ایڈے آؤ۔۔۔”
Shakeel Bhai held my arm and sat beside me on the sofa in the club’s corridor.
“حکم بھائی جان؟” Shakeel Anjum asked.
I told him about the Press Club website. He was very pleased and said, “That’s a great idea. Go ahead and make it—absolutely do it.”
So then I told my son Shaheer Ahmad to speed up the work on the club’s website.
Shaheer did an amazing job. For the first time in Multan Press Club’s history, its website was designed—and by the grace of Allah, this credit came to us.
Throughout the project, I remained in contact with the ever-caring and approachable President Shakeel Anjum Bhai, gaining his advice and guidance.
This website gave Multan Press Club a significant identity in the digital world.
Rather than just keeping it a standard website, Shakeel Bhai suggested that all Press Club activities be highlighted on the site for public interest.
Journalism is all about sensing public sentiment. Journalists serve as a bridge between the people and the authorities.
That’s why, along with club events, we also included key city updates—to enhance the site’s value and reach.
A few days ago, Nasir Mahmood Sheikh Sahib from Express News called and said that in recognition of this contribution, I would be honored at a mega event held at Multan Arts Council.
It was indeed a moment of great happiness for us.
And then, on the stage of Multan Arts Council, the voice of Shakir Hussain Shakir echoed:
“ملتان پریس کلب کی تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ اسکی ویب سائٹ کو تشکیل دیا گیا ہے اور یہ فریضہ سر انجام دیا ہے احمد کاشف نے”
In truth, this website was built by my son. I only gave the idea and guidance.
And for any father, it’s a moment of great pride to be honored because of his son.
That day was Father’s Day, and for me, it became the most precious and meaningful gift from my son.
Shaheer Ahmad was only one and a half years old when his mother left this world.
I am sure that upon seeing her son’s success, his late mother must have smiled from Jannah.
