In the history of Multan Press Club, a grand Road Safety Cultural Festival was held under the presidency of Press Club President Shakeel Anjum in collaboration with the Multan Arts Council. The event featured a shower of prizes. Fifty helmets, provided by Atlas Honda’s General Manager Zafar Iqbal, were distributed among journalists through a lucky draw. Additionally, two motorcycles, gifted by PNN Bureau Chief Imran Sattar, were awarded via lucky draw to Press Club members Shoaib Ikhtikhar and Jibran Shao.
During the ceremony, senior journalists Rashid Arshad Saleemi, Sardar Zafarullah Khan, Maseehullah Jampuri, Jabbar Mufti, Mazhar Javed Sial, Muhammad Akmal Wains, Shakir Hussain Shakir, Dr. Amjad Bukhari, Rao Waseem Asghar, Saleem Naz, and Izhar Abbasi were announced as recipients of awards in recognition of their services, receiving great appreciation from the attendees.
For the first time in the history of the Multan Press Club, senior journalist Ahmad Kashif was also awarded for launching its website “MultanPressClub.com.” It is noteworthy that the website was designed by his son, Shaheer Ahmad.
Performances were given by Mehrab Ali Khan, Iman Shah, Fahad Awan, Nadia Hashmi, and Urooj Malik. The program was hosted by Nasir Mahmood Sheikh and Muhammad Nadeem.
President Shakeel Anjum, senior journalist Zafar Aheer, Director of Multan Arts Council Chaudhry Tahir, Atlas Honda’s Safety Manager Asif Ghori, CheezApp Manager Ehsanullah, Airport Security Force Incharge Colonel Riaz Ahmad, and Press Club officials and members including Nisar Awan, Khalid Chaudhry, Nouman Khan Babar, Farhan Malghani, Rao Asif, Waseem Bobak, Mumtaz Niazi, Azam Jahangir, Khawaja Ashraf, Humaira Shafiq, Tanveer Gilani, and others distributed the prizes.
Salman Mubarak, Hassan Khan, Khawaja Asif Siddiqui, Sheikh Waseem Ahmad, Muhammad Ayaz ul Hassan, Muhammad Saeed, and Kashif Qamar Rana were awarded lifetime memberships of the Multan Press Club.
A large number of journalists and photojournalists attended the ceremony. Acting DSP Ehsanullah also delivered a lecture on preventing traffic accidents and the importance of wearing helmets.
